The Barges

The Barges

Come follow me
into the port of barges.
their sterns are worn down plates,
they are lifeless
silent like a library,
a dreary black,
so light on the water,
filled up with boxes from
the big cranes.
Come follow me
into the port of barges
showing intimidation
but helping the people;
they have stories
of other countries far and near-
the catastrophic weather,
the wind blows.
Don't be scared
to buy some space
Their dark bows,
controlled by current,
will provide, and all
the rows of boxes -
contain something different!
brings hope for another country;
every one, it floats
in solitude,
far from life,
lifeless steel, the work
of delivering boxes
shows the patience
is easy. Follow
and lets discuss the prices,
every box we ship forth,
the bottom sits in the water
standing the barge tall.
